Working aboard Rendezvous is rewarding and fun. Ideal applicants
are
available for the entire season, May through October, unless
otherwise
indicated. All positions require hard work. Applicants
should
be organized, efficient, hard working, friendly, and versatile with the
ability to work with little supervision. Strength, agility, leadership
skills and an outgoing personality are as important as years of boating
experience. All on board
crew
members are drug tested prior to employment and are subject to random
testing
throughout the season.
The
Captain has many responsibilities; first and foremost, the safety of
the guests, crew, and vessel. The captain is required to be CPR
and First Aid certified as well as hold a current FCC Radio Operator's
Permit. Applicants must be USCG-licensed mariners. The captain is
responsible for the safe operation of the vessel as well as general
maintenance including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance
checks, engine maintenance and upkeep, fueling, plumbing, electrical
work, painting, and security. The captain should be familiar with the
area and able to narrate sights during the cruise.
Relief Captain

The Relief Captain has the same responsibilities as the Captain but on a flexible, limited schedule.
Deckhand/Bartender
position filled
The
Deckhand/Bartender is responsible for tending lines for getting
underway and docking, guest hospitality, preparing and serving drinks,
cleaning the boat before, during, and after trips, and light
maintenance. Applicants should be CPR and First Aid certified and have
taken a state approved alcohol service course. The Deckhand/Bartender
will handle ordering and stocking of the bar as well as handling
pre-packaged sandwiches and snacks for sale.
Reservationist/Ticket Sales

The
reservationist is responsible for answering the phone, answering guest
questions, processing credit card transactions, dealing with bank
deposits and other office tasks.
