By Car: From the South take Route
95 North. Take exit 44
(I-295)
off I-95 if you'd like to take
the Coastal Route for a portion of your trip. Expect this to take
longer
due to traffic and construction but the views and shops are nice (LL
Bean
is in Freeport). As you continue North on I-295 the Coastal
Route
Brunswick Bath exit is #28. This takes you to Route 1. Follow Route 1
North
into Rockland.
At the intersection of Route 1 and Route 73, turn right and then take the first left at the Time Out Pub. This left takes you down a hill to the public landing. As you drive down the hill, the Public Landing is to your right, the Middle Pier is to your left and the Maine Boats, Homes, and Harbors Pier is straight ahead....but you won't be able to see it because it is obscured by a new-ish building (intended to be a restaurant) on pilings over the water. Park at the public landing and enjoy a stroll along the boardwalk that takes you out to that restaurant building and continue beyond the building. On the other side you will find the floating docks....and Rendezvous!
If you prefer a faster, less scenic route
you can stay on theI-95
North and exit in Augusta to Route 17. Follow Route 17 East into
Rockland
where it intersects with with Route 1 (McDonald's and Burger King are
located
at this intersection.) Turn right at the light and then stay on Route 1
South (Union Street) until you intersect with Route 1 North (Park
Street). Turn left here (there's a Dairy Queen and a Rite Aid at this
intersection). Turn right at the next light (Route 1 and Route 73),
turn left by the Time Out Pub and then find parking at the public
landing as described above.
From the North, follow Route 1 South into
Rockland. Go straight at
the
light by the intersection of Route 1 and 17 (where McDonald's and
Burger
King are located) and then follow the directions as listed above.

In July you can expect average
high temperatures around 78
degrees
and average low temperatures around 57 degrees. July brings us the
hottest
days of summer and is the traditional vacation time in Maine. The North
Atlantic Blues Festival brings thousands of visitors to our area.
In August you can expect average
high temperatures around
77
degrees and average low temperatures around 56 degrees. The warm summer
breezes of August bring us little rain and lots of harbor activity. The
Maine Lobster Festival and the Maine Boats, Homes, and Harbors Show
bring thousands of visitors to our area.
In September you can expect
average high temperatures
around
69 degrees and average low temperatures around 48 degrees. The crisp,
clear
air, and fresh breezes make for some of the best visibility of the
season along with the first colors of fall foliage. The days are
shorter and there are fewer visitors but we are still enjoying our
beautiful harbor.
In October you can expect average
high temperatures around
58
degrees and average low temperatures around 40 degrees. October is the
height of fall foliage and we also enjoy crisp, clear days great for
viewing lighthouses, windjammers under full sail, and wildlife.
